The Minister of Economy and Finance presents the draft decree that sets the maximum amount of micro-credits

Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance, presented Thursday, July 25th 2019 before the Council of Government, the draft decree setting the maximum amount of micro-credits.

This decree, adopted by the above-mentioned executive authority, sets the micro-credits ceiling for people with low incomes up to DH 50,000, as the maximum threshold for financing the launch or growth of a production activity or services to support this social category for their economic inclusion. In addition, it sets the amount of 100,000 dirhams as the maximum threshold to finance the acquisition, construction or renovation of private housing, the drafting of insurance contracts and the supply of drinking water and electricity.

​Furthermore, the draft decree sets the amount of 150,000 dirhams as a ceiling to establish or create a production or services activity. This initiative is addressed to economically vulnerable persons who comply with the following conditions: to be included in the register trade, to be a self-employed contractor subject to the business tax and included in the cooperative register as an agricultural cooperative or a member of one of these cooperatives.
