Department of Economic Studies and Financial Forecast
The Department of Economic Studies and Financial Forecast is in charge of:
- Making proposals and carrying out any study to enlighten the Minister of Economy and Finance on the financial, economic and social policy;
- Contributing to the development of the draft budget law for the preparation of the macro-economic framework and ensuring the financial forecasts and the development of economic and financial report of the draft finance law which determines the outline of the economic and financial balance of the project;
- Analyzing the economic, financial and social information and following up the national economic news;
- Following the development of the international environment, assessing its impact on the national economy, studying the impact of international agreements on Morocco and assessing the competitiveness of the national economy;
- Contributing to the assessment of the impacts on the national economy, the economic, financial and social policies as well as major public projects;
- Contributing to the development, analysis and evaluation of sectoral policies;
- Establishing, developing tools of forecasting and template establishment of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and creating the necessary databases within the framework of the Ministry's remits;
- Contributing to the upgrading of information treating methods of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the development of the necessary information to carry out its missions;
- Participating in the preparation and monitoring of the plan implementation for economic and social development, within the limit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance's remits;
- Developing and ensuring the follow-up of the Ministry's strategic action programme that is related to the financial, economic and social reforms and contributing to the development of these reforms.
