On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, the international Magazine ‘Global Markets appointed Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Finance Minister of the year 2016 for the MENA region.
This award reflects Mr. BOUSSAID’s remarkable success in restoring macroeconomic balances, after experiencing a sharp deterioration in 2012, despite a continuing difficult international environment.
The Magazine welcomed in particular the commitment and determination of Mr. BOUSSAID to implement major reforms, including the reform of compensation and strengthening social safety nets, the implementation of the Organic Law relating to Finance Law, the pension reform, financial sector deepening and preparing the transition to a more flexible exchange rate regime.
