Appointment of the new President of the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, chaired, Friday, February 8, 2019 at 5 p.m. at the headquarters of the Ministry, the handover ceremony between Mr. Abdelouahed KABBAJ and Mrs. Dounia TAARJI, appointed during the Council of Ministers held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Marrakech, as President of the Executive Board of the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development.
Mr. BENCHAABOUN stressed, at first, the importance of the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development as a State tool ensuring an essential role in financing and contributing to growth and development projects in the economic and social sectors.
The Minister then congratulated Mr. Abdelouahed KABBAJ for his professional career, enriched through several positions of responsibility within the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and then as Chairman of the Executive Board of Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development, which under KABBAJ's authority has seen progress and achievements in line with the strategic goals assigned to the Fund.
The Minister also congratulated Mrs. Dounia TAARJI for the trust placed in her by His Majesty the King, may God assists Him; and for her appointment as the head of a strategic public institution and praised her professional qualities and achievements during her career through several important positions of responsibility, notably as Director of the former Council for the Code of Ethics in Securities.
The Minister expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to support Mrs. TAARJI in her new responsibilities, wishing her every success in future missions.
