Visit of a delegation of the republic of GHANA

The secretary General of the MEF, accompanied by the Director General of Administrative and General affairs, received February 12th 2018 a delegation of the Republic of GHANA, headed by M. Yaw Osafo Marfo , Senior Minister at the Presidency in order to get acquainted with the experience of our ministry in terms of reforms and structuring projects.

The republic of Ghana, being committed to a number of reforms is opening up to the successful experiences and chose Morocco to conduct this delegation. The motivation behind this choice, as Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo stressed, is linked to the long common history of the two countries that were in the Casablanca bloc at the base of the creation of the African Union and also, with regard to the recognized experience of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, now recommended by the various donors. The wish is to know about this experience and reinforce the cooperation and technical assistance links in the areas of interest that will be identified following this visit.

In response to this request, the Secretary General of the MEF, while welcoming the members of the delegation, reviewed the main reforms and projects implemented by the Ministry (Financial Sector, LOF, Public-Private Partnerships ...).

In addition,he recalled the friendly relationships    linking both countries and stressed that Morocco can provide  proposals open to sharing with his African colleagues and that our Department is  prepared to work with his counterpart of Ghana within the framework of a cooperation program covering the selected key areas.
