Signing of the joint declaration of intent between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the German Federal Ministery for Economic Cooperation and Development

On the sidelines of the G20 Summit on investment, organized October 30th 2018 in Berlin, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance held bilateral meeting with Mr. Gerd MÜLLER, German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development.
During this event, Mr. BENCHAABOUN and Mr. MÜLLER welcomed the quality of bilateral relations which reflects the central position of Morocco in the German cooperation policy with the Mediteranean countries.
The Minister of Economy and Finance also welcomed the launching, within the framework of the Compact With Africa, of the new initiative of « Partnership to encourage reforms » and expressed his gratitude to the German government for the choice of Morocco as a priority country eligible for this initiative.
The Minister also stressed that this partnership will give a new impetus to the Moroccan-German cooperation.
At the end of this meeting, Mr. BENCHAABOUN and Mr. MULLER signed a joint declaration of intent between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the German Federal Ministery for Economic Cooperation and Development. This signing ceremony concerns the launch of discussions under the program « Partnership to encourage reforms », as part of G20 initiative « Compact with Africa », to promote private investments and sustainable economic development.
