Ms. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the headquarters of her department, a delegation of the Economic Affairs Committee of the French Senate on a working visit to Morocco.
This delegation, led by Ms. Dominique ESTROSI-SASSONE, Chair of the Committee and Senator for Alpes-Maritimes, was composed of several members of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Senate.
Also taking part in this meeting was Mr. Christophe LECOURTIER, Ambassador of the French Republic to Morocco.
The visit of the Senate Committee to Morocco is part of the new dynamic of Moroccan-French bilateral relations, driven by the new Enhanced Exceptional Partnership, established on the occasion of the State visit of the French President.
During this meeting, Ms. FETTAH provided an overview of the Moroccan economy and its resilience in a challenging international environment. She also presented the main reforms undertaken by Morocco, particularly in the economic and social sectors.
For her part, the Chair of the Economic Affairs Committee highlighted the importance of further strengthening exchanges between Morocco and France with a view to identifying new forms of economic partnership and exploring complementarities in various fields, particularly those related to energy transition, digital technology, agriculture, and industry.
At the conclusion of this meeting, Ms. FETTAH and Ms. ESTROSI-SASSONE reaffirmed their commitment to further consolidate and expand bilateral cooperation in the mutual interest of both countries.
