Meeting between Mrs. Nadia FETTAH - Minister of Economy and Finance and Mrs. Bärbel KOFLER- Parliamentary State Secretary to the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, met Monday, May 16th 2022, with Mrs. Bärbel KOFLER, Parliamentary State Secretary to the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), who was accompanied by Mr. Robert DOLGER, new German Ambassador to Morocco.

During this meeting, both Ministers highlighted the solid partnership and the significance of the Moroccan-German relations and were pleased with the quality and density of the financial and technical cooperation between the two countries.

In this respect, Mrs. FETTAH welcomed the financial support provided to Morocco by the German government during the Covid-19 crisis, as well as the German initiative "Partnership to encourage reforms", launched in 2019, which is a new and promising framework for cooperation between both countries.

Similarly, Mrs. KOFLER stressed the particular importance given by the German government to the partnership with Morocco and the intention to extend its scope to other priority sectors, such as the areas of green transition.

In addition, Mrs. FETTAH and Mrs. KOFLER reviewed the principal reforms undertaken by Morocco in line with the conclusions of the report on the New Development Model as well as the priority projects launched in this framework.

At the end of this meeting, Mrs. FETTAH and Mrs. KOFLER reaffirmed their common will to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.
