As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to promote the financing of start ups and innovative young businesses, the Treasury and External Finances’ Department (DTFE), with the support of the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) initiated a project on the institutional support for business angel activities in Morocco. As such, several initiatives were carried out including the launching of a diagnostic study of the activities of business angels in Morocco and providing capacity-building workshops of Business Angels.
In line with the ongoing effforts, the GIZ, together with the DTFE, aims to provide support through technical assistance directed to Business Angel Networks. This support aims to help speed up the financing of SMEs with strong potential and Innovative Start-Ups through Business Angel structured networks. In this respect, a call for expression of interest was published in the local press, Friday, March 8th 2019 to select beneficiaries on the basis of clear eligibility. It should be noted that the support proposed is planning several components, as seen below :
Business angel networks concerned should apply for the specification directly from Mr. Karim Bouhafes, technical advisor in the GIZ (mail : karim.bouhafes@giz.de), qoting the reference« BA01-19 » and submit the application form before April 1st 2019.
