The handover ceremony between Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA, appointed Minister of Economy, Finance and Public Performance by His Majesty the King, May God Assist Him, on October 16, 2026, and Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, outgoing Minister of Economy and Finance, took place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Ministry's headquarters.
Mrs. Nadia FETTAH highlighted the important role played by the Ministry in supporting major structural projects and extended her sincere thanks to the Directors General and Directors, as well as to all Ministry staff, for their unwavering commitment to carrying out their assigned duties and achieving the objectives set.
On this occasion, she congratulated Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA on his appointment as head of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Performance and commended the quality of her collaboration with the Minister, based on mutual trust and a shared commitment to serving the public interest, while wishing him every success in his duties.
Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA expressed his profound gratitude for the High Royal Trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of the fundamental values that shape the Ministry's identity and constitute an essential driving force for cohesion and mobilization among the Ministry's staff in addressing the recurring challenges of consolidating macroeconomic stability, safeguarding public finances and supporting the major reforms undertaken under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, May God Assist Him.
The Minister also paid tribute to Mrs. Nadia FETTAH for her efforts and her contribution to the implementation of the Kingdom's economic and financial policies.
The ceremony was attended by the Ministry's Directors General and Directors, as well as the Directors General of public institutions, establishments and enterprises.
