Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, took part on May 19, 2026, in Paris, in the 5th Ministerial Conference “No Money for Terror,” accompanied by an important Moroccan delegation composed of the President of the National Financial Intelligence Authority, as well as senior officials from this Department and the Embassy of Morocco in France. This Conference was organized within the framework of the French presidency of the G7.

On this occasion, Mrs. FETTAH delivered a speech as part of the Panel entitled : “Addressing the connections between terrorist financing and organized crime,” during which the Minister emphasized that, for Morocco, the fight against illicit financial flows is not an external constraint, but rather a national, sovereign decision, fully integrated into our priorities and the orientations of the New Development Model.

She also added that the challenge for Morocco is to build balanced, proportionate, and evolving regulation — one that protects investors and preserves the integrity of the economic and financial system.

On the sidelines of this ministerial conference, Mrs. FETTAH held a bilateral meeting with her French counterpart, Mr. Roland LESCURE, French Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty.

During this meeting, the two ministers welcomed the new momentum in Moroccan-French relations since the French President’s State visit in October 2024, which placed these relations within the framework of an Enhanced Exceptional Partnership.

The two ministers also highlighted the quality and depth of bilateral financial cooperation between Morocco and France, which has made it possible to support major structuring projects in the country.

Finally, this bilateral meeting was followed by the signing, in the presence of Mrs. FETTAH and her counterpart Mr. Roland Lescure, of a cooperation agreement between the President of the National Financial Intelligence Authority (ANRF), Mr. Jawhar Nfissi, and the Director General of the French financial intelligence body “Tracfin,” Mr. Antoine Magnant.
