Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received at the headquarters of her Department His Excellency Mr. Abdourahmane SARR, Senegalese Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation.
This meeting took place on the sidelines of the proceedings of the 15th Session of the Joint High Commission for Cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, held in Rabat on 26 and 27 January 2026.
During this meeting, Madam Minister recalled the continued commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco to the development of its relations with African countries, and with Senegal in particular, in line with the enlightened Vision of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, for a strengthened and effective South-South cooperation.
In this regard, Mrs. FETTAH and Mr. SARR welcomed the excellence of the relations and the ties of cooperation and friendship uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal.
The two parties also exchanged views on the means and mechanisms to translate into concrete actions their shared willingness to strengthen bilateral economic relations and establish a more dynamic, sustainable, and mutually beneficial cooperation. In this respect, they notably underscored the importance of multiplying and intensifying exchanges between economic stakeholders of both countries, fully leveraging the existing legal framework between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, as well as the complementarities offered by their respective economies.
This meeting was also an opportunity to review technical cooperation between the two departments. In this regard, both Ministers noted with satisfaction the quality and density of exchanges between their respective teams and agreed to intensify their cooperation in terms of exchanging experiences and best practices, in areas falling within the remit of both Ministries.
