A delegation from the Directorate of the Treasury and External Finance took part in the Pledging Conference related to the Seventeenth General Replenishment of the Resources of the African Development Fund (ADF), held on 15 and 16 December 2025 in London, United Kingdom.
On this occasion, representatives of the ADF donor countries adopted the strategic orientations and operational measures intended to guide the Fund’s action over the next three years (2026–2028). It was thus agreed to focus the ADF’s interventions on the financing of sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure, the strengthening of governance and institutional capacities, as well as sustainable debt management, while integrating the cross-cutting issues of fragility, climate, inclusion, and private sector mobilization.
At the conclusion of this Conference, the overall envelope mobilized to support the ADF action plan reached 11 billion dollars, recording an increase of 23% compared to the sixteenth replenishment.
During this Conference, the representative of the DTFE announced the contribution of the Kingdom of Morocco to the 17th replenishment of the resources of the ADF in the amount of 10 million dollars, i.e., double its contribution to the sixteenth replenishment of the ADF. He also emphasized that the Kingdom’s contribution reflects our country’s constant commitment, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, to the economic and social development of the African continent and to African solidarity, while recalling the central role of the ADF as a key instrument for supporting the development of low-income African countries.
