Meeting between Mrs. Nadia FETTAH and Mr. Sidi OULD TAH, President of the AfDB Group

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, held talks this Thursday, November 27, 2025, with Mr. Sidi OULD TAH, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group. On this occasion, the Minister reiterated her congratulations on Mr. OULD TAH’s appointment as head of the institution, while commending the relevance of the “four cardinal points” of his strategic vision, which are perfectly aligned with the Kingdom’s national priorities.
Mrs. FETTAH emphasized that the AfDB’s support remains particularly expected in several key areas, notably social protection, infrastructure development, support for the private sector, and the empowerment of youth and women. The Minister also expressed Morocco’s gratitude for the Bank’s renewed confidence, illustrated by the organization— for the third consecutive time— of the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) in the Kingdom.
For his part, the President of the AfDB welcomed the excellence of cooperation between Morocco and the Bank, recalling that the Kingdom remains the institution’s leading partner. He stressed the desire to enable other African countries to benefit from this exemplary cooperation.
Mr. OULD TAH also recalled that the AfDB’s ten-year Strategy aims to triple non-sovereign financing, highlighting that this dynamic will greatly benefit the Moroccan private sector. He finally indicated that strengthened partnerships with other multilateral development banks will help create additional financial space to support new projects in Morocco.
