The Minister of Economy and Finance meets with Mr. Ousmane DIONE, Vice President of the World Bank (WB) for the MENAAP Region

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Mr. Ousmane DIONE, Vice President of the World Bank (WB) for the MENAAP Region.

​During this meeting, Mrs. FETTAH and Mr. DIONE reviewed the various aspects of cooperation between Morocco and the World Bank Group, while commending the excellence of this partnership and the promising prospects for collaboration in light of the significant reform projects initiated by the Kingdom.

On this occasion, the Minister of Economy and Finance emphasized that through the 2026 Finance Bill, Morocco is embarking on a new phase of its economic and social development. This phase, in line with the High Royal Guidelines, focuses on inclusive growth and integrated territorial development, based on decentralization and the principle of solidarity among territorial entities, with priority given to key social sectors, namely health, social protection, and education.


For his part, Mr. DIONE noted that the new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) to be signed between Morocco and the WB in the coming months will focus on the priorities of the New Development Model, reiterating the World Bank Group’s support for the structural and sectoral reform projects undertaken by the Kingdom.
