A working meeting between officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and a delegation from the Lives and Livelihoods Fund (LLF) was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the headquarters of this department. The LLF delegation visited Morocco from February 10 to 13, 2025, and made working visits to a number of projects in the Tangier region.
The LLF delegation, chaired by the new Director of the Islamic Development Bank's Regional Office in Rabat, included representatives from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation, the Abu Dhabi Development Fund and the Qatar Development Fund.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed cooperation relations with the LLF and the development projects co-financed by the Fund in Morocco.
On this occasion, the heads of this department emphasized the quality of relations with the LLF Fund and the development partners who support its operations, and the Moroccan side's full readiness to strengthen the Fund's field of action in our country. This is in line with the government priorities and the enlightened vision of HIS MAJESTY THE KING MOHAMMED VI, may God assist him.
The representatives of the LLF delegation underlined the particular interest shown in their development operations in Morocco, and their desire to strengthen relations with our country.
It should be noted that the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), in partnership with the LLF Fund, has financed the Inclusive Rural Development Project in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region in 2019. The aim is to improve the incomes and living conditions of small farmers in the region, improve the supply of healthcare services and promote entrepreneurship by setting up a microfinance scheme.
The LLF Fund is a joint initiative launched in 2016 by the (IDB) and its development partners. The Fund operates in 33 IDB member countries, and its main mission is to support countries in mobilizing the necessary resources capable of eradicating poverty.
