Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired, Monday January 27, 2025, the inaugural session of the 2nd Inspector's Day, held at Rabat International University.
In her speech, the Minister emphasized that, under the enlightened and visionary guidance of his majesty king Mohammed VI, may God assist him, Morocco has accelerated the implementation of major reforms and large-scale projects, while consolidating its institutions and establishing a culture of responsibility and rigor.
The Minister took the opportunity of the 65th anniversary of the General Inspectorate of Finance “IGF”, which will be celebrated in 2025, to congratulate all the finance inspectors, highlighting the importance of this senior control body, not only for the Ministry but also for the country as a whole. She stressed the IGF's major role in supporting Morocco's public policies, particularly in strategic sectors such as health and social protection, education and water resource management. She also praised the quality of the IGF's work, whose reports are an essential lever for improving the country's financial governance.

The Minister also praised the quality and professionalism of the IGF's work in auditing projects financed by the Kingdom's strategic partner international donors, as evidenced by the letters of congratulations she received in this regard from the African Development Bank and the French Development Agency. She also underlined the improvement, in 2024, of the IGF's PEFA rating to B+, reflecting once again the dynamism of this institution in recent years.
Finally, Madam Minister expressed her wish that the initiatives undertaken by the IGF in digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence and data analysis be further developed to support other public entities in modernization and innovation.
