Morocco-German partnership: 100-million-euro agreement signed to support climate policies in Morocco

On Wednesday December 18, 2024, in the presence of his excellency Robert DÖLGER, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Rabat, Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, and Mr. Jan SCHILLING, Regional Head of the Water Sector for North Africa at KfW, signed an agreement worth 100 million euros to finance the Climate Policy Support Program in Morocco at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
This program aims to support measures linked to Morocco's resilience to climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA and Mr. Robert DÖLGER expressed their satisfaction with the level of partnership ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Germany, while affirming their willingness to work to strengthen them.
