Mrs Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Mr Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, co-presided over the signing ceremony of three loan agreements worth a total of €344 million.
The signing ceremony, held in conjunction with the 5th “Africa Investment Forum”, was attended by a number of key figures, including Mr. Tarik Hamane, Managing Director of the Office National of Electricity and Drinking water, Mr. Jamal Benjelloun, Managing Director of Nador West Med Company, and Mr. Hicham Zanati Serghini, Managing Director of National Guarantee and Financing Enterprise.
The loan agreements, which were the subject of this signing ceremony, concern structuring projects aimed, among other things, at improving drinking water performance, developing the Nador West Med port business park and strengthening governance and the resilience of the Moroccan economy.
This financing supports the Government's strategy, deployed in accordance with the high royal huidelines of his majesty the king, may God assist him, to consolidate the fundamentals of the Moroccan economy, safeguard water resources in a context of water stress, and strengthen Morocco's port offering and its anchorage in global value chains.
