Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, presented, on the occasion of the international conference on competitive neutrality and market access, organized by the Competition Council, November 13 in Marrakech, Morocco's strategic vision for a more dynamic and equitable economy.
In front of a prestigious audience of national and international experts and institutions, Madame Minister outlined the changing role of the Moroccan State. This was embodied especially in the ambitious reform of Public Establishments and Enterprises (EEP), marked by major achievements such as the creation of the National Agency for Strategic Management of State Holdings (ANGSPE), the transformation of public establishments into limited companies, as well as the adoption of strategic guidelines redefining the State's shareholding policy in depth.
Alongside this fundamental restructuring of the public sector, the Minister highlighted key initiatives designed to boost private investment, illustrated in particular by the new Investment Charter and the Mohammed VI Investment Fund.
She also emphasized the importance of public procurement reform, a cornerstone of economic modernization, which is creating a new dynamic of transparency and fairness through the dematerialization of procedures, the introduction of quotas for SMEs, and the strengthening of measures to combat anti-competitive practices.
These structuring reforms converge towards one key objective: to create an economic environment in which the State is the guarantor of healthy and fair competition, at the service of a more competitive Morocco that shines on the international stage.
