Signing of a 100-million-euro loan agreement to support the Al Haouz earthquake reconstruction and upgrading program.

Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, and Mrs. Sandra Rohleder, Head of Division at the German Development Bank (KfW), signed, June 05, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Robert Dolger, German Ambassador to Morocco, a loan contract for 100 million euros, in support of the reconstruction and upgrading program for the regions affected by the Al Haouz earthquake.
This program aims to support the Moroccan government in managing the consequences of the earthquake and mitigating its socio-economic effects on the local population.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA and Mrs. Sandra Rohleder expressed their satisfaction with the level of partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Germany, while affirming their willingness to initiate a joint reflection to increase and strengthen access to KfW's financial resources.
