Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired, Monday November 27th 2023, a meeting of the Board of Directors of Morocco’s Pension Fund.
In her opening address, the session's chairwoman thanked the members of the Board and its governing bodies for their hard work and good coordination with the Fund's management. This contributes to the CMR’s operational excellence and the strengthening of its relations with partners and users. Such coordination was reflected in the highly satisfactory results of the self-assessment of the Board's work, confirming that it operates in accordance with good governance practices.
The Minister also reiterated that the government would continue to press ahead with major strategic projects, in particular the royal project to generalize social protection. It would also pursue its efforts to provide the necessary financial resources in collaboration with public bodies and companies, including the Morocco’s Pension Fund through its indirect contribution to the financing of public investments, while respecting the principles of profitability, security and liquidity.
The Board also welcomed the positive indicators recorded for the year 2023, in relation to the achievements of the Moroccan Pension Fund’s action plan and its commitments within the framework of the program contract signed with the State, whose completion rate will reach almost 86% in 2023. These results reflect the Fund’s commitment to implementing strategic guidelines for modernizing the administration and improving services to citizens.
The Board also praised the recent action by the institution, permanently exempting all its pension beneficiaries from any life control procedures.
After considering the items on the agenda, the Board of Directors approved the Fund's draft action plan and budget for 2024, as well as all the draft decisions presented to it.
The session ended with the reading of a message of loyalty and fidelity to His majesty king Mohamed VI, may God assist him.
