Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received, Monday, October 17th 2022 at the headquarters of her department, Mr. Albert SHINGIRO, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Republic of Burundi, who is on a three-day working visit to the Kingdom.
During this meeting, Mrs. FETTAH and Mr. SHINGIRO praised the excellent relations, cooperation and friendship that have united the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Burundi for decades and expressed their common desire to strengthen these ties and establish a more intense economic cooperation.
In this regard, the two Ministers reiterated the commitment of both parties to intensify efforts to boost business relations between Morocco and Burundi in various areas including infrastructure development, social housing, fertilizers and the exploitation and development of mineral resources.
Likewise, the two officials agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of technical assistance by promoting the exchange of experiences and best practices, particularly in the areas of mobilization of external funding and monitoring of public investments.
At the conclusion of this exchange, Mrs. FETTAH and Mr. SHINGIRO reaffirmed their willingness to work together to strengthen cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Burundi.
