Mrs. Nadia FETTAH,  held bilateral meetings with Mr. Engrácio DA GRACA , Minister of Planning, Finance and Blue Economy of the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe and Mr. Hervé NDOBA, Minister of Finance and Budget of the Central African Republic.

On the sidelines of the 2022 Africa Caucus Meeting, held on July 5 and 6, 2022 in Marrakech, Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, held bilateral meetings with Mr. Engrácio DA GRACA , Minister of Planning, Finance and Blue Economy of the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe and Mr. Hervé NDOBA, Minister of Finance and Budget of the Central African Republic.

During these meetings, the Minister of Economy and Finance overviewed the economic cooperation relations with these two countries. She also highlighted the interest of the Kingdom of Morocco in the development of these relations and this, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, in strengthening the ties of cooperation between Morocco and its African partners.

In this context, Mrs. FETTAH reaffirmed the willingness of the Kingdom of Morocco to strengthen its support to Sao Tome and Principe and the Central African Republic within the framework of South-South cooperation, in terms of technical assistance, both bilaterally and in terms of tripartite cooperation, especially in sectors where Morocco has a recognized expertise and know-how.

The Minister of Economy and Finance also granted an interview to Mr. Cheick Oumar Sylla, Regional Director for North Africa at the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

On this occasion, the two officials reviewed all the projects and programs financed by the IFC in Morocco. While welcoming the volume of cooperation and the quality of relations between Morocco and the IFC, both officials expressed their common desire to further strengthen the strategic partnership of our country with the IFC.

In the same way, Mrs. FETTAH received a delegation of senior officials from the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), chaired by Mr. Chandi MWENEBUNGU, Director of Treasury and Markets.

During this exchange, Mr. MWENEBUNGU thanked the Minister for the interest given to the development of cooperation relations between Morocco and Afreximbank, while reiterating the Bank's willingness to further strengthen these relations, through the establishment of appropriate financing solutions to promote economic integration between Morocco and its main African partners.


Meanwhile, the Minister of Economy and Finance has reaffirmed the interest of Morocco in promoting the partnership with Afreximbank, with the aim of making Moroccan economic operators benefit from the financial and technical support of this financial institution for the implementation of investment projects in Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa in promotional areas.
