Signing of the legal documentation relating to the projects of construction of the Nador West Med port complex and extension and modernization of the airport of Rabat-Salé

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, and Mrs. Yacine FAL, Acting Vice President in charge of Regional Development, Integration and Service Delivery of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group signed, Monday, June 13th 2022 the legal documentation relating to the projects of construction of the Nador West Med port complex. This project will be achieved by the Company Nador West Med (CNWM), and the extension and modernization of the airport of Rabat-Salé will be carried out by the National Office of Airports (NOA).
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Mohammed ABDELJALIL, Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mr. Mohamed Jamal BENJELLOUN, Director General of CNWM and Mrs. Habiba LAKLALECH, Director General of the NOA.
The Minister of Economy and Finance seized the opportunity to underscore the important role of the ADB as a reference partner in supporting sectoral and infrastructure development strategies, launched under the High Directions of HIS MAJESTY THE KING.
Mrs. FAL welcomed the good relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the ADB and confirmed the availability of her institution to provide financial and technical assistance to support the dynamics of economic and social reforms initiated by the Kingdom.
At the end of this event, the two officials reaffirmed their common desire to further strengthen the already excellent cooperation relations between Morocco and the ADB.
