Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, participates in the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (ADB) held from May 23rd to 27th in Accra, Ghana.
On this occasion, Mrs. FETTAH will have bilateral discussions with her counterparts who will take part in these annual meetings, organized under the theme "Fostering Climate Resilience and a Just Energy Transition for Africa".
Both the 57th Annual Meetings of the ADB and the 48th Meetings of its concessional window, the African Development Fund (ADF), will be attended by finance ministers and central bank governors from the 54 regional member countries and 27 non-regional member countries of the ADB Group.
These 57th assemblies, which mark a return to face-to-face meetings after the virtual meetings of the last two years, are intended to be an opportunity to discuss ways of facilitating Africa's energy transition in a context marked by climate change, the repercussions of which are already noticeable on the countries of the continent.
The purpose of these meetings, whose theme is in line with the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) scheduled to take place in Egypt in November, is to discuss ways to help African countries adapt to climate change, particularly through the mobilization of necessary resources.
