Signing of a financing agreement for an amount of 114.03 million Euros for the Program of Support for the Inclusive and Sustainable Development of Agricultural and Rural Areas (PADIDZAR)

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA, in charge of the Budget, together with Mr. Achraf TARSIM, Resident Representative of the National Office of the African Development Bank in Rabat, in the presence of Mr. Mohammed SADIKI, Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, signed on November 23, 2021 at the head office of the Ministry, on November 23, 2021 at 9:30 am, the signing of a financing agreement amounting to 114.03 million Euros (or approximately 1.184 billion dirhams), for the benefit of the Program to Support Inclusive and Sustainable Development of Agricultural and Rural Areas (PADIDZAR).
This program is part of the new agricultural strategy called "Generation Green 2020-2030", and aims to support the Small and Medium Hydraulics on about sixty perimeters with the consideration of the human element through capacity building of actors, promotion of employment and agricultural advice.
On this occasion, the Minister welcomed the level and quality of cooperation relations between Morocco and the African Development Bank and expressed his gratitude to this institution, in particular to Mr. Achraf TARSIM, for the valuable and constant support it has provided to Morocco for the implementation of essential structural reforms.
At the conclusion of the signing, the Minister and the Resident Representative of the African Development Bank's National Office reaffirmed their willingness to work further to strengthen this exemplary cooperation.
