Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the headquarters of her Department, Mr. Franck RIESTER, French Minister Delegate in charge of Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, who was accompanied by Mrs. Helene Le Gal, Ambassador of France in Morocco.
This meeting is part of the official visit of Mr. Franck RIESTER to Morocco on November 22 and 23, 2021, during which he will meet several officials and representatives of the public and private sectors.
During this meeting, Mrs. FETTAH and Mr. Franck RIESTER recalled the quality of relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and France and the exceptional and lasting character that has always marked the strategic partnership between the two countries. The two leaders stressed, in particular, the excellence and sustainability of bilateral economic and financial cooperation relations, characterized by their density and diversity.
Mrs. FETTAH recalled, on this occasion, the main orientations of the governmental program which was elaborated in line with the Royal High Orientations and the conclusions of the report on the New Development Model. The purpose is to establish a social State with three main priorities, namely, the job-creating economy, health and education. The Minister also presented the efforts undertaken by Morocco, at many levels, in order to provide answers to the health crisis and to inspire a new dynamic of recovery as well as the ambitious reform of the sector of public establishments and enterprises.
Meanwhile, Mr. RIESTER presented the priority projects undertaken by France, as part of its post-crisis recovery program, in terms of foreign trade and attractiveness. In this regard, he stressed, in particular, the strategic importance given by France to strengthening economic relations with Morocco.
Mrs. Nadia FETTAH and Mr. Franck RIESTER were pleased with the productive exchange they had during this meeting and reaffirmed their willingness to work together to consolidate and strengthen cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, within the framework of a mutually beneficial partnership.
