On this occasion, Mrs. Nadia Fettah made a statement through which she underlined the magnitude of the impact of the pandemic crisis on African countries and the need for a reinforced support of the international community and the Bretton Woods Institutions for these countries.

The Minister of Economy and Finance also expressed her delight at the appointment of the Kingdom of Morocco to the presidency of the African Caucus for the year 2022, stressing, in this regard, that the African Caucus, under the presidency of Morocco, will advocate for greater support of the two institutions to the development efforts made by the countries of the continent.

As a reminder, the African Caucus usually meets once a year (July-August), at the initiative of its Chair, for the purpose of coordinating and harmonizing the positions of African Governors regarding the annual memorandum that is addressed to the IMF and the WBG and presented at the Annual Meetings of these two institutions.
