Government Council adopts Draft Decree to Simplify Administrative Procedures and Formalities

The Government Council, convened on Thursday 17 September 2020, in Rabat, chaired by the Head of the Government, adopted the draft decree n° 2.2.660 promulgating certain provision of law 55.19 relating to the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities.

This draft decree, submitted by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi LAFTIT and the Minister of the Economy, Finance and the Reform of the Administration, Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, comes as a response to the High Royal Guidelines aimed at reforming administration, optimizing its performance and improving the administrative services provided to citizens.

The text stipulates for joint decision-taking regarding the model for administrative decisions classification as well as the model for filing administrative decisions requests and the modalities of its delivery to users, in addition to the creation of a national commission for this purpose.

This draft decree will give strong impetus to actions taken to simplify administrative procedures and their digitization so as to strengthen the bonds of trust between the administration and citizens by re-establishing a relationship based on a specific reference, which frames public service on the basis of precise, transparent and simplified rules.
