Morocco signs MoU to acquire anti-COVID19 Vaccins

The Health Minister, Mr. Khaled Ait El-Taleb signed, on September 18, 2020, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform in Rabat, a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire anti-COVID19 vaccins manufactured by the Company “R-Pharm” with a licensing deal of AstraZeneca.

The Signature of the MoU, which took place via a videoconference between the two parties, is part of the efforts of the Kingdom to secure a sufficient supply of the vaccins.

Attended this signing ceremony: Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi LAFTIT, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser BOURITA, Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform, Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Health, Mr. Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, Noureddine BOUTAYEB, Director-General of R-PHARM, Vasily IGNATIEV, and the Vice-President of ASTRAZENECA, Alec VAN GELDER.
