Mr. BENCHAABOUN Submits the Bill on National Authority for Probity, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, to the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Representatives.

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, submitted, Thursday 10 September 2020, bill n° 19-46 relating to the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, to the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Representatives.

The bill is part of the effective implementation of the powers conferred by the constitution on this body, in accordance with the Royal guidelines that have emphasized, on several occasions, the importance of the moralization of the political life, promotion of probity, and the fight against all forms of corruption. It also meets the expectations and aspirations of citizens to access public services while observing transparency, integrity and quality requirements.

The bill relating to the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption was transposed into legal provisions, the constitutional missions of the authority, particularly those related to taking initiative, coordination and supervision, while monitoring the implementation of anti-corruption policies, collecting and disseminating information in this area, contributing to the moralization of political life and consolidating the principles of good governance, the culture of public service and responsible citizenship values.

This is underpinned by a vision guided by the principle of institutional cooperation and synergy of efforts between the body and other competent authorities to activate administrative or criminal proceedings, while respecting the provisions of the constitution.
