The issue of the refund of the Value Added Tax (VAT) will be resolved by the end of the current year, stressed Tuesday, April 30th 2019 in Casablanca, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance.
"The issue of the VAT credit refund will be addressed by the end of 2019 and we're going to move back to a certain normality in the functionning of this tax," stated Mr. BENCHAABOUN at the opening of the Small and Medium Enterprise Forum (SME), organized by the « Groupe Banque Populaire » under the theme "Stimulate SME’s investment, expectations to provide solutions".
Following the first quarter of 2019, the State repaid an amount which is three times higher than that of the same period of 2018, announced the Minister. He noted that these meetings scheduled, May 3rd and 4th will focus on the neutrality of VAT.
Having reviewed the various projects and concrete actions in favor of the SME, the Minister also pointed out that "the payments of the Administration are being settled in an almost definitive and structural way. These payments will be less than 60 days and will drop further, "he noted.
