Mr. BENCHAABOUN presents to the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives the bill on crowdfunding

On Tuesday December 24, 2019, the Minister of Economy and Finance and Administration Reform, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, presented before the members of the Finance and Economic Development Committee of the House of Representatives, the draft law No. 15-18 relating to crowdfunding. The purpose of this law is to define the legal system applicable to crowdfunding operations.

This type of financing, which is known internationally as crowdfunding, is a method of financing projects by the general public, making it possible to collect funds, generally of low value, from a large number of people in order to finance entrepreneurship, innovation and cultural and creative projects. It is different from traditional methods of financing. It ensures a direct and transparent relationship between project leaders and contributors via internet platforms. This activity covers three forms of financing, namely loans, investments and donations.
