Mr. Mohammed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Götz SCHMIDT-BREMME, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Rabat signed, Tuesday, February 5th 2019, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance two Financial Cooperation Agreements amounting to € 330.5 million as loans and grants.
During this event, the Minister and the Ambassador recalled the excellent relations of cooperation and friendship linking Morocco and Germany which are further enhanced by the signing of these two agreements.
The Minister, on the other hand, stressed that this agreement provides once again a proof of the relevance of the areas of action of this cooperation which focus on priority sectors of the development of Morocco in particular:
(i) water resources management (ii) the promotion of renewable energies and energy efficiency (iii) sustainable economic development.
Then, the Minister expressed the wish to further strengthen the Moroccan-German cooperation to support our country in its reform momentum and in its projects of economic and social development.
Finally, the Minister and the Ambassador reiterated their will to work together to strengthen and reinforce this cooperation.
