Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance received, Thursday, November 29th 2018 at the headquarters of his Department, Mr. Emil KARANIKOLOV, the Bulgarian Minister of Economy, on the sidelines of the official visit to Morocco of Mr. Boyko BORISSOV, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria November 29th and 30th 2018.
During this event, the Minister of Economy and Finance stressed the excellent cooperation relations linking Morocco and Bulgaria which is one of the main partners of our country in Eastern Europe and particularly the Balkan countries.
Both Ministers then discussed the different aspects of bilateral economic cooperation and ways and means to further develop it for the common issues of the two countries. They stressed the importance of promoting investment to boost bilateral economic partnership and effective complementarities between the productive sectors of the economies of both countries.
In this meeting, Mr. BENCHAABOUN expressed the wish of our country to promote the reconciliation of the business community of the two countries and to encourage any joint Moroccan-Bulgarian partnership and investment initiative with a focus on other emerging markets , especially to sub-Saharan Africa.
