The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN,takes part in the G20 summit on investment

Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired, Tuesday October 30th 2018 the Moroccan Delegation to the G20 high level conference on investment, which took palce in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. This meeting was chaired by German Chancellor, Mrs. Angela MERKEL, with the participation of Heads of States and Governments, partners in the G20 initiative « Compact with Africa », as well as German business community and some international and regional financial organisations.

Mr. BENCHAABOUN was accompanied by Mr. Mohcine JAZOULI, Minister attached to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in charge of African Cooperation, and Mr. Salaheddine MEZOUAR, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies.

During this event, the Minister of Economy and Finance highlighted the concrete advances of the Kingdom in the field of structural and sector-based reforms under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, May God Assist Him. The Minister also reported the strong performance of the Moroccan economy in a less favorable international environment, thanks to reforms to strengthen macroeconomic stability and improve business climate.

In this occasion, the Minister called upon German investors to take advantage of the promising opportunities provided by the Kingdom, namely in the emerging sectors of car industry, aeronautics, electronics and renewable energy, in which Germany has a very extended know-how and a technological leadership.
