The Directorate of Studies and Financial Forcasts (DEPF), of
the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is pleased to announce that its new
Website is now available via URL link below :
http://depf.finances.gov.ma.
This new site, developed with the best international standards,
is part of the strategic repositioning of the (DEPF) as a think-tank of the
Ministry of Economy and Finance. This think-tank focuses on government
priorities and is dynamically present at the level of the national debate on major
economic , financial and social policy issues facing our country.
The Minister of
Economy and Finance aims, through this web site renewed both at the of graphics
and content, to make available to the public an interactive access to a wide
variety of publications carried out by the (DEPF) since its inception in 1995.
These publications are now available from a number of inputs
by : function of the Directoratre, range of publications, date and writer.
It should be stressed that the (DEPF) launched a new range
of publications, for instance the « Policy Brief » and the « Policy Africa ». The
first ones deal mainly with macroeconomic and public policy issues whereas the
second ones tackle key aspects dealing with Morocco’s economic positioning at
the continental level.
A set of national and international indicators are available
for free in the database « Mana-Stat ». At the same time, this new website
offers the possibility to access the monthly dashboard which traces the
evolution of certain key indicators relating to the international and national
environment, the sectoral trends, public finances and employment.
To assist its analytical work on Morocco's new institutional
positioning in Africa and strengthen the national actors' knowledge of African conditions,
the (DEPF) deemed it appropriate to enrich its "Manar-Stat" data bank
by creating an online information database that includes a range of
socio-economic indicators for the 54 African economies.
Other innovations have been introduced in this new website.
These are computer graphics which allow a better visualization of data and
trends in crucial sectors of the national economy.
This modern, interactive and ergonomic website reflects the
desire of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to better respond to the
aspirations and expectations of the public. By being present on social
networks, the website constitutes a central pillar of the digital communication
policy and a major lever for the DEPF’s strategic repositioning.
