The Minister of Economy and Finance presides the Moroccan delegation to the Morocco-British Forum on Trade and Investment

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, headed an important Moroccan delegation in the “Moroccan-British Forum on Trade and Investment” held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in London.

Organized on the initiative of the Moroccan Embassy with the participation of the British DMA Agency in order to discuss the means that are likely to give an impetus to the economic cooperation between the two countries after the Brexit, this forum took place in a plenary session and B2B meetings.

During this meeting, the members of the Moroccan delegation had the opportunity to highlight the advantages of the Moroccan economy, its exceptional geographical position, its proximity to Europe, the strong presence of the Moroccan private sector in Africa and the political and economic stability of the Kingdom which is currently standing as the economic entrance to the African market.

They have also presented to investors the business opportunities offered by Morocco in several sectors, particularly renewable energies, tourism, industry, oil explorations, services, finance, phosphates, vocational training…

It is worth mentioning that the Moroccan delegation was mainly composed of Mrs. Mouna BOUCETTA, Secretary of State of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation, Mr. Othman EL FERDAOUS, Secretary of State in charge of Investment, Mrs. Amina BENKHADRA, General Director of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines and senior officials of the Tourism department, General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco and MASEN.

Also took part in this event, the British Minister of North Africa and Middle East, Mr. Alistair BURT, the baron Fairhead, Minister in charge of International Trade, Ambassador of Morocco in Great Britain, Mr. Abdessalam ABOUDRAR, his British counterpart Mr. Thomas REILLY, the envoy of the British Prime Minister for Trade with Morocco, Mr. Andrew MURRISON and directors of the International Trade Department.
