Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, stated, Tuesday February 13th 2018 in Rabat, during a study meeting in the House of Representatives devoted to the Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB), that the GRB is a key tool to achieve equity and improve efficiency and public politics homogeneity.
Thus, the Minister specified that the integration of this approach in the budget development and implementation is one of the important reforms that the Kingdom adopted in recent years, in order to strengthen gender equality, stressing that the Organic Law on the Finance Law (LOF) attaches a particular importance to the gender aspect in all its provisions.
During this occasion, Mr. BOUSSAID called on all government departments and stakeholders to adopt the reforms required for the integration of the GRB, and stated that the LOF enhances the institutionalization of the gender approach and the integration of this aspect in programming and planning public policies.
Initiated by the thematic working group on equity and equality in the House of Representatives, this meeting aimed at assessing the Moroccan expereinece in terms of GRB, considering the conformity of national laws with the gender approach and presenting the difficulties the implementation of the GRB faces.
