Mr. BOUSSAID believes that unemployment among young graduates in particular is one of the major challenges in the MENA region

Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance said, Monday, January 29, 2018 in Marrakech, that the integration of young people and women of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in the labor market will be in the heart of the high-level conference in Marrakech to be held on 29 and 30 January 2018 on the theme "Opportunity for all: growth, employment and inclusion in the Arab world".

"Unemployment of young graduates in particular is one of the great challenges of this region of the world," BOUSSAID told the press on the sidelines of this meeting.

He stressed that employment is linked to growth and investment, which depend on a climate of stability, noting that the development model in the MENA region creates social disparities and between men and women.

Mr. BOUSSAID said that Morocco will present, during this high level conference, its experience on sectoral policies in the industrial, agricultural, tourism and energy levels, as well as its efforts to improve the business climate, competitiveness and the fight against corruption, all of which are factors that impact growth and the creation of jobs for young people and women.

Organized by the Moroccan Government, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), this conference brings together decision makers, business leaders and representatives of civil society in Arab countries to exchange ideas and experiences on how to create millions of jobs by exploiting new sources.

At this meeting, the speakers discuss a number of reflections on how to increase opportunities for women and youth by highlighting innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting transparency and technology to exploit the potential of the region; and defining policies conducive to stronger and more inclusive growth.
