Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, stated that the planning of achieving an ecosystem electric transport in Morocco by "BYD Auto Industry" group confirms the competitiveness of the Kingdom and its attractiveness to foreign investments.
This Memorandum of Understanding was signed, Saturday December 9th 2017, under the High Guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him.
In a statement to the press after the presentation ceremony of the project and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding related to it, the Minister pointed out that the agreement between the "BYD Auto Industry" group, worldwide leader of electric transport and the Moroccan Government, confirms Morocco's industrial orientation, the success of the sector-based industrial acceleration strategy, the competitiveness of the Kingdom and its attractiveness to foreign investors.
The Minister thus added that this project is an important investment in the automotive industry sector, and more particularly in green transport, noting that the choice of the Chinese group for Morocco comes after the historical visit of HM the King in 2016 to China that established the basis for cooperation between Morocco and China.
