Organization of a seminar on the lunch of a new Knowledge Management platform concerning Gender-Responsive Budgeting (BSG)

Within the framework of producing and sharing knowledge, the Centre of excellence for the (BSG), in collaboration with the Directorate of Administrative and General Affairs, organized, Tuesday, December 5th 2017, a seminar on the launch of a new Knowledge Management platform concerning Gender-Responsive Budgeting (BSG) which will enable the capitalization of Knowledge produced within the framework of Gender-Responsive Budgeting program and sharing of expertise.

The aim of this meeting is the presentation and the communication concerning the new Knowledge Management platform concerning Gender-Responsive Budgeting (BSG) with future users of this instrument.

In his speech, the Director of the Centre of excellence for the (BSG) stated that this workshop is a further step forward in the process of capitalization, the dissemination and sharing of information in terms of (BSG).

It therefore represents a favorable space for debate and discussion on the right way forward for the operation and development of this platform to ensure the sustainability of the (BSG) as a tool that could result in advances in terms of gender equality.

The Director stressed the important role the various government departments can play in improving the content of the new Knowledge Management platform by sharing their experiences, documents and so on ... The aim is to encourage creativity and the cumulative knowledge-building, to capitalize and manage all the initiatives of our country regarding the (BSG)  , as well as the initiatives taken in other areas and to facilitate the collaboration within the communities of sharing and know how to develop the activities.

On the other hand, the Director of Administrative and General Affairs emphasized the importance of the information system for the dissemination of economic and financial information. He also stated the importance of computing platforms established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to facilitate the exchange and processing of information.

He also highlighted the main achievements of the MEF in the field of the (BSG) including the introduction of gender responsive indicators at the level of the performance project of this department under the 2018 Finance Act.

It should be noted that the (BSG) knowledge management platform is a collaborative content management solution, that makes it possible to capitalize and manage all the contents of the (BSG) initiative, enhance them by distributing them as needed, facilitate collaboration communities of practice and monitor and develop the expertise of its stakeholders. This solution offers, among others, the following features:
