Mr. Abderrahmane SEMMAR,Director of Public enterprises and Privatization and Mrs. Marie-Alexandra VEILLEUX-LABORIE, Director in charge of Morocco at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), co-headed, October 31st 2017, the opening of the seminar held under the theme: “Discussion on Public-Private Partnership(PPP) : “Moroccan and Turkish experiences”.
This seminar is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to strengthen the resort to (PPP)and confirms thus the will and commitment of public authorities to use it as a tool to accelerate public investment in order to initiate new development projects and accompany reforms and modernization projects that Morocco undertook over the last few years

This event enabled participants to learn about the Moroccan and Turkish experiences in the sectors of airports, water, energy and social infrastructures.
Held around four panels, this event was also an opportunity to discuss aspects related to financing instruments, how to evaluate (PPP) projects, and their impact on improving the quality of public services provided.
This Seminar brought together national and international public and private actors in order to share their mutual know-how in the management of (PPP) projects, mainly the determination of innovative financial tools and measures, risk management processes as well as assessment procedures and monitoring of projects’ implementation.
The theme of this seminar reflects the emergence of a new vision in the design of the public service and its method of financing, supporting the setting up of performance-based partnerships in the management of public investment projects.
It has also led to some relevant and pragmatic recommendations that will contribute to the development of the use of this new innovative public order management tool in different sectors and the progress of a new partnership dynamic crucial for the acceleration of public services investments in economic and social infrastructure and services.
