Pursuant to the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, the Council of Government approved, Thursday, November 2nd 2017, proposals for appointments to senior positions in the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This includes:
- Mr. Zouhair CHORFI, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
- Mr. Nabyl LAKHDAR, Director General of the Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes.
Mr. CHORFI, the previous Director General of the Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes, held several responsibilities within the Ministry, notably as Director of the Treasury and External Finance.
Mr. LAKHDAR, on the other hand, held the position of Director of the Facilitation, Information System and Strategy at the Directorate General of Taxes after spending a long time at the Customs Administration where he held a number of positions of responsibility especially as Director of Facilitation and Computing.
