Workshop on the inter-regional input-output table for Morocco: a tool for analyzing regional economic structures and interregional impact assessment

The Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF) organized, October 10th ,in partnership with the (OCP)-Policy Center, a high-level workshop on the interregional input-output table for the Moroccan economy, with the technical support of Mr. DOUARDO AMARAL HADDAD, expert in regional and urban economy at the University of São Paulo (NEREUS) in Brazil.

This instrument complements the analytical tools developed inside the Directorate. The aim is to set a tool for the analysis of production structures and costs at the regional level, study sector-based interdependencies between regions and contribute to impact assessments for 12 regions and 20 sectors.

Atelier

This project will be used to develop a balanced, general, calculable and interregional model to assess the sector-based and macroeconomic effects of economic policies and major investment projects by region and evaluate their impact in terms of reducing regional disparities.
