Mr. BOUSSAID believes that through the agreements signed with the Ethiopian side, the relations between the two countries  will improve

His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, and the president of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian, Mr. SEM Mulatu TESHOME, headed, November 19th, 2016 at the national palace in Addis Abeba, the signing ceremony of seven bilateral Public/Public conventions and agreements.

These agreements and conventions focus on various fields such as air services, tax cooperation, protecting investments, agriculture and renewable energies.

Within this framework, Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, signed two agreements:

The first agreement aims to avoid double taxation and fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. This agreement was signed on the Ethiopian side by Mr. Abraham Tekeste, Minister of Finance and Economic cooperation.

The second one is an agreement on the mutual promotion and protection of investments. It was signed on the Ethiopian side by Mr. Fitsum Arega, the investment committee auditor.

In a press statement, The Minister of Economy and Finance stated that Ethiopia, owing to its positioning and the number of its inhabitants, provides important investment opportunities namely to Moroccans in various fields including agriculture and services.

​Moreover, Mr. BOUSSAID believes that through these signed agreements with the Ethiopians, the links between both countries will improve for a fruitful cooperation. This collaboration is part of the strategic directions of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, to strengthen south-south cooperation and build an economy that serves citizens.
