The Minister of Economy and Finance meets the vice-president of the European Investment Bank in charge of (EIB) activities in the Maghreb.

Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance received, Wednesday, September 7th 2016 at the headquarters of his department, Mr. Roman ESCOLANO, Vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in charge of (EIB) activities in the Maghreb.

During this event, Mr. BOUSSAID and Mr. ESCOLANO reviewed the various aspects of technical and Financial cooperation between Morocco and the (EIB). In this respect, they both welcomed the level and quality of cooperation relations linking Morocco and the (EIB) and the importance of the financial assistance of this bank to the projects within the framework of the priority and strategic policies of the government.

Mr. BOUSSAID also welcomed the (EIB) initiative to organize in Rabat, September 8th 2106, his regional conference under the theme: “Climate action in the Mediterranean Region” and this in view of the organization of (COP 22) conference that will be held November 7th and 8th 2016 at Marrakech.

The Minister of Economy and Finance expressed the trust of our country in the future of these relations with the (EIB). He also expressed the wish to see the bank strengthen its assistance to the socio-economic infrastructure programs initiated by Morocco, namely in the fields of water and sanitation, agriculture, transport, urban development, renewable energy and the fight against climate change.

​ Mr. BOUSSAID and Mr. ESCOLANO reaffirmed their common wish to further boost cooperation between Morocco and the (EIB). ​
