Mrs. Faouzia ZAABOUL, Director of Treasury and External Finance, headed the Moroccan delegation participating in the 25th Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), held from May 10th to 12th 2016 in London.
On the sidelines of this event, Mrs. ZAABOUL held bilateral meetings with Mr. Phil BENNETT, Vice President of the (EBRD), along with his teams at the headquarters and Casablanca office as well as the French, Spanish and Tunisian delegation.
During these meetings, the Director recalled Morocco’s progress in terms of economic and social reforms, especially in terms of restoring macroeconomic balance, the modernization of the financial sector and the diversification of growth sources through new global businesses of Morocco. She also reported that the (EBRD) should boost its actions in enhancing the role of the private sector by providing funding mechanisms and innovative partnership.
Mrs. ZAABOUL also called for strengthening the representation of countries in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region (SEMED) in terms of governing bodies and the operational teams of the (EBRD).
