Under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohammed Boussaid, signed, Thursday, May 12th, 2016 in Beijing, a memorandum of understanding on the transfer of North-South water between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and China Harbour Engineering Company ltd.
This memorandum was also signed on the Moroccan side, by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fishing, Mr. Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, and on the Chinese side by Mr. Li Yi, Vice President of China Harbour Engineering Company ltd.
During this ceremony, several other public / private partnership agreements were signed by the Moroccan and Chinese parties. These agreements are part of the strategic partnership between Morocco and China.
